Ducal Map following the Battle of Munchhausen

After his victory Colonel von Vorbeck received the magistrates and city elders of Munchhausen at the Frog & Duck Tavern where the Colonel had set up his temporary headquarters while the Royal Army resupplied for it's continued march south to free the Bishop of Bittburg from his captors.

The city father's formally surrendered and knelt before the Colonel swearing fealty to the Duke and the Duchy of Saxe-Huack. Colonel von Vorbeck graciously accepted their petition and oath; then reassured them that His Grace, Duke Augustus had always looked with favor upon the city and it's most wise fathers.

So yet another land is added to the ducal estate. The map below shows the acquisition of the city and it's surrounding parish.

As a resident of the actual Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg that map looks rather familiar! :-)
